  • Written learning objectives that are specific and measurable

  • Content pertinent to continuing education needs and scope of practice for profession

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Evidence-Based Practice

ACT is a third wave cognitive behavioural therapy supported by a robust body of research. It is evidence-based for numerous client populations including people needing to make lifestyle changes due to major health conditions, people suffering from mood disorders, students struggling with procrastination, and workplace stress. See the American Psychological Association Division 12 list of empirically-based treatments and SAMHSA’s National Registry of evidence-based programs and practices:

See list of systematic reviews and meta-analyses of ACT.
